## Program

- [10-Week Dental Assisting Program](https://www.atslasvegas.com/class-schedule/): a hands-on program covering the full scope of dental assisting, from chairside techniques to office management. Students train on real patients at Dr. Soard's partner practices.

Weekly curriculum: 1) Intro to Dental Assisting, 2) Four-Handed Dentistry, 3) Radiology and Radiation Safety, 4) Restorative Dentistry, 5) Cements, Impressions, and Clinical Notes, 6) Oral Surgery, Implants, Periodontics, and Sedation, 7) Crown and Bridge Materials, Instruments, and Temporary Crowns, 8) Endodontics, Orthodontics, Bleaching, and Prosthodontics, 9) Office Management, 10) Pediatric Dentistry.

After the 10-week curriculum, graduates complete an 80-hour externship at one of Dr. Soard's practices (Green Valley Dentistry, Sahara Family Dentistry, Centennial Family Dentistry, Dentistry for Families – North, or Distinctive Smiles) or a partner office across the valley.

- [HIPAA Certification](https://www.atslasvegas.com/certifications/assisting-certifications/hipaa-training/): 6-hour course covering the Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules. Valid 2 years.
- [OSHA Certification](https://www.atslasvegas.com/certifications/assisting-certifications/osha-training/): 8-hour course covering infection control, bloodborne pathogens, chemical safety, and emergency preparedness. Valid 2 years.
- [Clinical Externship](https://www.atslasvegas.com/certifications/assisting-certifications/externship/): 80-hour externship at a working dental office in the Las Vegas valley.

## Tuition and schedule
